I am an educator, pianist, composer and experimental electronic musician. My career includes a comprehensive array of activities and is driven by a major transdisciplinary axis aiming at bridging the gap between creative practices and technology. I am particularly interested in exploring music as an interactive medium through which people communicate and interconnect with artificial worlds. I did my PhD in Computer Music at Plymouth University where I used artificial intelligence to simulate musical style evolution in virtual worlds. I am currently a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Visiting Fellow at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Computer Music Research, and Associate Lecturer in Music Psychology at the University of Plymouth.
